Cwmaber School in Caerphilly, South Wales got in touch with us recently asking for some basic digital labels for the exercise books used by its pupils on a daily basis. The job was simple enough – aid them with a branded design that left plenty of room for pupils or teachers to write over and print a few hundred off for use in school.

We said yes, and you know what? We decided to do the job for free!

“We try to support local organisations like schools and charities,” explains Sales Director Jon Wright (pictured, right). “In all honesty this job wasn’t the most taxing in terms of design or production requirements, but it added real value to the day-to-day running of lessons in the school and it gives the class materials a nice extra touch.

“The decision not to charge Cwmaber was just a spur-of-the-moment thing. Lots of us at Reel Labels have children of our own and we know that schools sometimes find it hard to fund their supplies. We were genuinely happy to help.”

Alongside Jon in the photograph, head boy and girl Harri Ford and Katie Williams.  They were the first to use the new labels and thanked Jon for his kind offer.

The school’s Headteacher , Mrs Bethan Davies, also met Jon and commented on how happy she was that local companies such as Reel Label Solutions are actively looking to help in the community and how great it was that her school has benefitted from this.

The supplied labels are designed to be personalised – easy to write on with ball point, felt-tip, pencil, crayon, paint, whatever – so that staff and pupils can add names, subject headings and, probably, doodles.
